    NEVER AGAIN! rented Footprints on the Sand in Sept 2014. advertised as oceanfront with professional landscaping,decorating and professionally maintained with pool and hot tub. check in began with a 1 hour delay as cleaning crew was not finished. when we did arrive, maintenance man still there, so I decided to get the hot tub ready after a long ride down. Hot tub was not working so I called and was told that the owner had not approved the repair and therefore it was not operational. no one had called to inform us of this known problem. the hot tub was the only reason we switched rentals this year. they said they would work on it.day 5 hot tub worked. Once we entered the house ($8000 for an off season week) the sliding doors were all off hinges leaning on the house on the deck. there were cockroaches (call them palmetto bugs but cockroaches none the less)-took 4 days for exterminator.. rugs and upholstery were filthy ( had to put sheets on couch to sit). there was crunchy DOG CRAP on the stair carpet (took 4 or 5 days to have cleaned) Professionally landscaped lot was dirt and weeds with old mismatched lounge chairs and a pile of broken furniture was mounded by steps. there were cigarette buts everywhere. interior was furnished with what looks like owners handmedowns, no stereo, broken ice machine. what was worse than the state of the house was the service from the sc realty. a couple of the workers really tried to make things better but management did not step up. after really putting a damper on the vacation and making us feel cheated, they did little to keep good paying customers returning. we were a group of 5 adults and 2 children in a house that sleeps 26 . after 6 months the company felt it was a fair resolution to the situation to offer a $250 refund and $250 toward next years rental.. Like I would ever rent from them again. Obviously this was not satisfactory and I will be filing a lawsuit in Magistrates court during our next visit. If they were good business people and stood by there claims they would not be receiving this review. The lawsuit is about principal (BTW what we requested as fair reimbursement was 20% not the full amount. Beware before renting with them and ruining your vacation.

    It says 10 and under!! Do not bring your 10, 9 or 8 year olds to this! It is for little children and the older ones as you could tell on their faces were embarrased.

  • I contacted Burroughs Funeral Home and Pet Cremation Services to make arrangements for my sweet dog. I was so relieved when they agreed to my special request. They showed me as much kindness compassion and concern as if I was making arrangements for a human family member. When I made a connection with their special needs house cat "Ashes" I knew I found the best place to cremate my dog "Blue". Thank you for giving me the peace of mind I was seeking. Thank you.

  • We did the dolphin cruise this morning at 10 am. My daughter who has some blood sugar issues wasn't feeling the best right before we left. The captain was so nice and gave her some of his own food to make her feel a little better. Then he checked on her throughout the cruise. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area. The weather turned on us pretty quickly so we didn't see much in this cruise but I would absolutely take it again! The boat ride itself was a lot of fun! Thanks so much for the awesome experience!
